Hello folks,

I have just built up a PC (base unit only) from some components I had accumulated and plan to stick it in the local yellow paper but not too sure at what price to pitch it at. I thought if I posted the spec I could maybe get some feedback.

I was also wondering whether I should source a cheapo tft, keyboard and mouse to add more value to it and go for a higher asking price.

Spec as follows,

• Tower Case Only
• Epox EP 8HDA3+ with 5.1 Sound, 4 x USB
• AMD Athlon 64 3700 Processor
• 1 GB Memory DDR400
• 80 GB Hard Disk Drive
1.44MB Floppy Disk and Multi Card Reader
• CD/RW 40x16x48
• ATI Radeon R9600XT 256 MB
• Windows XP Home Edition Genuine Copy and Product Key
• Recent clean reinstall of Windows XP

Thanks

Ayns

Why don't you have a look on Ebay, see what they're going for?

Ello,

I took look on eBay at a few different systems on offer and I come up with £100 ballpark figure. Ill stick it in at £110 and see what happens.

Thanks guys.

TBH the specs are a bit unbalanced. Processor, video and memory are fine, but the small hard disc and no DVD drive count against it.

Thats it sold. Managed to get 95 quid for it.

Wow can't believe I missed one of my fav questions.

Gutted.

Was that the 754 3700?

If so then you would have got £40 alone for the porcessor mate. I had a 3700+ 754 disguised as a 3400 a few months back and had it up on Gumtree for £35 and still get offers now!! And they offer me more, lol, and I know they are genuine offers as I am clued up to scammers.

Very sought after chip.

In fact the boards are getting more sought after also.
