Other Windows update error?

System crashed done a restore, now constantly get this error when trying to do windows update.
Any ideas, windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

have you treid a system restore take it back a couple of weeks see if that fix's the issue

seen this a couple a times and each had a different fix
but if you look what updates a failing and download then from Microsoft as stand alone patches
it should take then and then let you run windows update

Thanks guys, Tried the 3 microsoft fix's no joy.
Laptop only gives me a very old system restore date with no option to select another date.
I will try the seperate download suggestion, let you know how it goes.
Seems to be jus sp1 it wnt let me update!
