Hi guys

I'm having some trouble with my torrents.
I suspect its to do with my internet connection timing out every so often.

Is there a simple way to monitor my network for drop outs?

Many thanks

CF

I think you could use something like this with graphical ping mode, ping Google or it's DNS servers, or something that will definitely be up.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Run on your torrent download machine.

Why do you suspect your internet connection times out? When I've used torrent clients they usually reconnect when they can.

Just a thought, is it ISP throttling at certain times of day?

Might be able to get round that with a different port.

wireshark is a good tool to monitor networks

Used it for packet inspection, but didn't know it would be good for detecting connection loss.

I would recommend you to try get in touch withto solve this problem.
