Just been informed by my Win 10 Update feature that my 8GB RAM laptop is not suitable for upgrade to Win 11 shortly, i.e. does not meet suitable specification for this.

Surely this is not acceptable - to be expected by MS to buy a new laptop which does meet Win 11 spec?

Any advice most appreciated please.

I'd gone into Win 10 Update as normal and was confronted by large message from MS telling me that my smooth running Acer laptop wasn't compatible with Win 11 - just find this very daunting for we 'mere mortals' who don't necessarily have the knowhow to carry out necessary measures as suggested by the kind replies above.
Thanks - still think this is mega out of order YET AGAIN by MS?

Thanks mate - will try this when actual update is requested - so far it's just a pre warning in Windows Update.
