ok peeps my new Willem 4.0 Programer came today got it from willem .org its the one in a case . I av got a 4000n box and it has cr3 on it the purpley cr. I want to read the atmel and take the cr3 dump from the box too put on a m8s 4000n which has recently been hit in TW area his box is on cr1 with the no up date mod done , Can anyone advise where to start not done this b4.
:)

your 4000n box will be no good to get a dump from as its also an ex c&w box
you first need a dump from a 4000t box
then you wipe the atty out of the 4000n with cr1 on it
id the chip, make sure it comes back as a atty, read the attys/save the dump
make sure you save it as a .hez file
then erse the atty,do a blank test, open your 4000t dump and write it to the atty
put it back in and then you ve done your first box
you need to download the software for it here
http://www.willem.org/
also take yoyr time, its alot easyer to take out then put them back in
good luck

Don't quote me on this mate but i think it's the 4.5 programmer that you need as it has the TSOP 48 adapter.

Yes thanks robbie ur right been in touch with the guy i can send it back for the 4.5 or buy the tsop48 pin adapter for it????????? Just waiting now see whats the best thing to do seems u av a more variety of atmels u can read on this 4.0 and its also fitted in a very good stronge metal caseing .

Thanks m8

in the 4 or 4.1 model you need the following adapter

http://www.willem.org/tsop48.htm

the 4.5 has this adapter built in but programs less chips its ont thier web site i was thinking of getting one i going to go for the 4.1 and adapter as it gives u the option to program a lot more chips

including the u50 chip on the sa4000 boxes another adapter only 18 quid but i noticed they have a test clip that can be used to program can anyone confirm this working on the sa4000 box?

there was a test clip shown on some forums for the sa4000 and sa4200 24lc*** chip reading and programming but as you still had to remove the chip i didnt see the point in buying it so i brought a solder adaptor for willem that you solder the 24lc*** onto and plug into the willem and read/ write..
easy enough and the little adaptors only cost me £10 for 7 if i remember rightly..
