wii with no sound

I have a softmodded wii here.... everything has been working fine for about 18 months but recently I turned it on to find that there is no sound and the av cable is fine cos I tried it on a friends wii...

I believe this is a hardware problem please can someone help me !!!!

p.s. the sound still comes through the wiimote as it should.

Did you try your Wii on his TV so you can rule out TV problems ?

might be your sound card on the wii ?

Had this problem on mine only modded on sunday all I did was turn the tv on and of and it came back its a samsubg tv by the way. Try it on another tv
