Hi Guys,

Is there anybody in west Yorkshire (near Leeds) who can mod my wii for me?

I'm ok with satellite equipment, but totally lost when it comes to games consoles.

I would be more than happy to cover costs.

if no1 can help mate honest just do it yourself, it really isnt that difficult aslong as you read up and understand it a little, once you start following instructions it becomes alot easier to understand.

True mate, but my Wii is on 4.3e and I do not even have the games required to do the softmod!

I did download all files and some guides are very good with step by step pics too, but problem is having the game in the first place.

just go and rent it mate for 2 or 3 days till you get it sorted, it will only cost you a fiver, thats ya only option really if no1 replies. bit of a long shot having someone who lives close to you with the game required and who's able to softmod and willing to do it for you, never done a 4.3 so cant really help but renting and doing yourself is probably the best option anyway!
 
Thanks guys, I guess the best thing to do is rent LEGO INDIANA JONES THE ORIGINAL ADVENTURES and try the softmod myself!

I can see the next weekend being a domestic with the missus ;-)

I am seriously thinking of installing the sundriver kit. It replaces the DVD rom with a hard drive internally. All games are installed by USB lead from your pc. The games play off a menu system. It's like having the softmod without have to mod the wii or have a HDD plugged in. It's basically plug-and-play using the ribbon cables from the drive itself, no soldering at all. I never use DVD's anyway so it wont be missed.

Hi mate,

If you want to save on the postage sure it would be just as easy to ring someone and they can talk you thru the softmodding, be easier and cheaper.
Sure iliveinuk would be willing to do it too but you would need to ask him.

I would just say follow the guide i did and you cant go wrong mate, dont worry it really is as easy as the guide says.

Where in the world are you?
 
I think looking at the guide it's not too bad and I will give it a go. I'll have to wait till the weekend and then start playing.

I'm near Leeds (West Yorks).
