Wii blue light flashing

Hi

Went Wi FI last week and liked up the WII for weather news etc. But for some reason rather than the red off light, we know have an amber light and the blue circle round the disk entry is pulsing on and off.

Any ideas what's causing it and can I turn it off.

It means you have a wiimail or some other alert.

The amber light comes on when the wii has been connected to the network, its normal for it to do this.

When you turn it off at the mains, the light will turn red when you plug it back in, then turn amber when you put it in standby.

i get the same thing what i do is when i turn it off i hold off button until it turns red!

its normal to happen!

There is an option in the wii settings too dim the blue light or switch it off completely

Thanks, our Wii also did this and for a split second I thought I might have to actually read the manual
