wifi hotspot

hi folks, i can connect to a free wifi hotspot outside my house with my laptop but lose the the signal indoors is there anything out there that will (receive)bridge that gap for me and then transmit it inside my house any help would be great

First I suspect you are not connecting to a free hotspot, more likely an unsecure private one.

In answer to your question, a uni-directional aerial might get you a better signal indoors.

thanks m8t so even though i get nothing on my laptop indoors this should bridge the gap,would you plug this into a wireless router then
