why my photos have a glow

hi guys....ive noticed that i have taken some great pictures of family and freinds....but when someone is wearing white...i noticed that they are over exposed on the photo..they seem to be glowing.....any help on how to prevent this...i always set my camera to auto...

What is the camera?

Is the lens clean?

Does the glow occur on prints? on the camera's lcd? on the PC? all 3?

Does it occur when fill-in flash has been used?

Have a play with the white balance settings too.
