It's not over, no way was he H, Season 7

He was in the cell shitting himself when the guy was strangled and was told "this is what happens to rats". As you say, how could he be Mister Big?
There are lots of unanswered questions. Hastings admitting his mistake to Carmichael sort of left it open for another series in my eyes.
