serious yes but @minute to take over hackers need to be within range of wifi network

not to say they are not doing a drive bye
 
Exactly as it says...vulnerabilities in wifi have been found.
Equipment manufacturer's of items that have wifi are currently rolling out fixes.
So items such as routers, etc will need to be updated via the router homepage access when fixes are available.
Mobile phone service providers will send updates via the network.
PC wifi card driver updates via the manufacturer's web site or directly via a search for driver update.
 
I'm more thinking of my phone as thats what I use mostly for online purchasing and things
 
Microsoft released fix last week but only informed people on Monday . The issue was discovered in July and not released publically, until this week. This gave enough time to release a patch to overcome this vulnerability,
