There isn't a difference. Unless your mindset chooses to make one.
Passed away = stabbed multiple times
Brutal killing = taking loads of drugs and being knelt on while resisting arrest.
One of the killings was 100% brutal, the other was in part self inflicted and accidental (poor policing but not intended).
I think that people are taking issue with the fact the actual the brutal killing is being played down. Kahn is only paying lip service anyway.
Although we have to consider Kahn believes being stabbed is part and parcel of living in a big city. That might be part of him believing stabbing is less brutal than kneeling.

Both were murdered but Sadiq Khan's choice of words make you go wtf ?.
The only thing I can think of is the timing of the statement meaning when it was put out.
But when all said and done regardless of the above statement he a f##kin worm.
I remember him been pally and sharing a stage numerous times with radical imam called Suliman Gani, who supported Islamic State say no more.
