In simple, you can network a dreambox.

You can also add 'plugins' which is additional software to do extra stuff, such as record to hard drives, play movies, play pictures, play mp3, etc, but the main thing is that via networking you are able to 'share' cards.

also the main difference in my eyes is dreamboxes are linux based,meaning you can change all kinds on the box from the start up screen through to menu layout/functionality,emu's to shut down picture. where as a technomate isnt linux so u cant really change much and not that much free space on box to change things so it's only really keys and a faint picture in the background is about it.

yep, a better recomendation would be the technomate-9100 PVR linux reciver at £109, same as a dreambox 7000/7020 just by a different manufacture

i not got 1 but if was after 1 id get this for the price!!!!

The TM-9100 is at that price because it's a reletively new receiver and there are still alot of teathing problems with it. The dreambox has been around for years and hence the amount of support it has and that reflects on the price too.
