CD & DVD whats the best ??????

hi all i have been burning cd's since the old days of PSX'ing and had many problems learning... now i just use clone cd and i dont have a problem with any burning <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

but i want to back up my files onto cd, i have never managed to get this right when i tried in the past <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> but now i want to try again and get this right i used direct cd b4 and it made the cd but the files where always currupt.

i have new PC still got the same old writer (but it burns every time) ultra narrow scsi 2 rewrite 4 write 6 read (told you it was old + it cost me 400 quid about 5 years ago)

I used to use direct CD back when it forst came out, it wasnt very stable and crashed my machine every so often, but it always wrote my files perfectly. Anyway i think there on about V5 by now and one would hope that they have sorted any issues. You may have been experiencing problems with incompatible apps, virus checkers are usually good culprits. I like direct CD because its so easy to use, but you need to run some test backups to make sure you dont lose all of your files.
