Whats The Best Recording Software?

Hi Peeps

I have had so much trouble recording of my DBOX2


Does anyone have any good veiws on any software


Im Running XP Pro
Pentium D 3.0ghz
Geforce 7800GTX OC Graphics Card
4GB of ram

But still can not get any software to record

If you want to use a software solution, in my experience Dbox Win Server using the UDrec module is the best option, but Direct File Recording doesn't require server software, just a shared folder on your PC, and it far more convenient. There should be a guide in the downloads section.

Thanks i have now set up winserver and it works!!!

is there anyway you can make it save in one fine insted of a sound a a video file

Yes, both UDrec and GGrab have options to save as an MPEG or a TS file. TS files are handy, as they can be played directly back on the Dbox through Movie Player.

does anyone know how to convert the two files into one as i have tryed to make winserver do it but it still comes in a sound and video file.

yes mate make setting as follows use udrec use mpeg for audio and video then selct multiplex i think something like this then this creates another mpeg file with audio and video but downfall u need twice as much space, so when finished just delete the audio and video mpeg and leave the joined one
