I just got a car because my old banger has been costing me a fortune on repairs etc.
I'm with AA Insurance at the mo' who I've been told are the most expensive and I want to go for another qoute from somewhere else, I'm 4 months into my current contract btw.
Any links please?

Clive.

I've always found confused.com to be good. Use Quidco as well to get some cashback - I got £90 cashback from Lloyds this year!

moneysavingexpert.com has a good article all about cutting car insurance costs.

went from an average qoute of about £250-300 for a 10yr old galant third party fire & theft :FRIGHT::FRIGHT: (been insured for 18 yrs now without any claims as well :Angryfire)

elephant quoted me £140 for fire & theft & £170 for fully comp

Use the search engines mentioned, then go and check directly on the insurances website, check how much cash back is available via sites like quidco. Play around with the excess amount you willing to pay, and pay the extra few quid for legal cover.

See moneysavingexpert.com for lots of info.

i usually use

http://www.confused.com
http://www.gocompare.com

and money supermarket.

bear in mind that not all insurance companies cooperate with these sites(such as direct line) but you get a fair idea of price ranges to expect.

I signed with AA as they were cheaper for me on all the comparison sites.
