web site restrictions @ work

im restricted to certian web sites @ work , it belongs to a net work all from the main server , can individual pc setting be changed or is it all done @ the server end, just wondering

I used to work in a plce that banned us from looking on certain sites but I was able to get onto the worldlingo website and then get onto any website through their site. http://www.worldlingo.com/en/websites/url_translator.html Just type the url in address bar and you might get onto the sites.
