Hi guys, I am after a bit of advice please. My washing machine blew up so I bought a new one and have plumbed it in the cellar . The waste is about 1 meter above the washer though and is not pumping out very well.
I have googled it and found plenty of maceraters which would do the job. The issue is I can’t find one that is cheap enough. I have found an alternative https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-psp105-250w-puddle-pump-with-auto-senso/ but was hoping for options that could be bought in Leeds.

Cheers

Have you tried just putting a non-return valve on the outlet tube? Currently when the pump stops any water above it runs back into the tub which might give the impression it's not pumping out very well. You could also sit the machine on top of something (sturdy) so the pump doesn't have to pump so high, makes it easier to load/unload too. (That bit's the old git coming out in me lol!)

In the end I bought one of these

And put it in a bin with a waste hose leading to a grate. I have the washing machine emptying in to the bin and the pump sends the water outside.

Works a treat, there is a little water left in the bin when it’s finished , but I have so much space and no noise when washing now so I can live with that.

You could be really safe and put a float kill switch to kill the washing machine power in case pump fails saving a flood ;)

Great idea , thanks for the tip
