vu+duo ghost image?

curious problem i notice with the box connected to tv by hdmi cable and have also connected an onkyo amp with an optical feed for sound,if i want to use the pc or dvd i get a ghost of an image of what i last looked at on tv screen lol which seems to stop me using the pc or dvd.powering off at back of du+removes the image and allows pc or dvd to lock on signal.another thing i notice the fan is also running when box is in standby mode using power is it possible to default or stop fan or slow down when not in use in standby mode.
