but I also got a £60 credit and free box install etc so I am at £43 :) same as what I paid with no tv :)

What did you all do to bargain a deal with them?

XL TV
10mg BB
XL phone
V+
All sports and movies
£53

Used sky half price offer for bargaining :)

just say what u want and how much willing to pay of let them tell you, what they can do then haggle from there, always go to disconnections for best deal

tbh, there's no decent deals with VM at the moment. They basically just give you variations on a theme but if you look closely you aren't getting anything more than a slightly tailored standard deal.

From what I can see, they've pretty much stopped the policy of custom pricing.

I have
V+ all channels (not movies or sport)
Xl phone
10mg BB = £36.54 (best deal ever, for me at least)

My dad phoned but didn't stick to the script that I told him to, so came away with nothing. So I sent them an email outlining the deals with other companies and my utter disgust!!!!

They phoned the old man today on his mobile and said they will send out a free V+ Box to him... lol... thank you VM.

Now, he will be over joyed if they don't deactive the currently installed box... not sure what the chances of that are!! Pretty low I suppose but nev mind...

Cheers Vm...

To get my deal I basically told them to disconnect me, they said no problems gave me the 30 day date etc.

4 days later they called me :) and I got what I wanted...

Also been reading about tribe discounts might be worth mentioning.

Blimey, 46p less than I pay for 20MB BB on its own. Methinks a call is loooong overdue.

The email was just the fall-back mate, always best to call them first and, like others have said, say you want to cancel, try and broker a deal there and then, or else if they say that's fine and give you 30 days, say OK and see if they phone you back after a few days. You could always phone them back if they don't before the 30 days and say you have changed your mind. I just used their contact page on their site to email them.

The email though just outlined the deals new customers get, Sky deals etc etc, and that the old man had been with them for over 15 years, you just have to be creative, lol.

The reason his phone call failed is because he doesn't know that much about the internet etc, and when he said Sky do this deal, they gave him loads of speil about been a certain distance from the exchange and wore him down that way.

So you just have to stand your ground and say, look, you mate down the road is on Sky internet and he has never complained, Sky are giving out free Sky + boxes to new customers and doing things like free sky sports for 12 months... Just be tooled up before you go in and you wouldn't be daft to have a few things written down in front of you mate...
