I' m sure I read somewhere that VM were testing this currently for roll out across their existing network next autumn, if this is the case will it be Bye Bye to all the Boxes and tech we currently use?

not a chance m8 video over ip will never work on VM, there speeds are crap plus if you watch to much they will cap your viewing :)

It works very well for BT, but then they have the infrastructure to support it.

Maybe the cable companies infrastructure will be up to speed soon? Who knows - the hurdle will be implementing a decent quality of service (QoS) so that non VOD users will not suffer...
