ive a friend who needs to put a video on his website and i know somone in here will know and what tools i need to do it can somone point me in the right direction

What kind of website is it?

Is it one he has coded himself using something like HTML? Or maybe used a web page editor like dreamweaver or something?

Can need not just embed the YouTube grabber code into his site and upload his videos on you tube?

Convert the videos to flv format, then just use a free flv player on the site.

If he does not mind sharing the video with everyone and the quality is not important then I was going to suggest youtube as well and embed it in his webpage.
