Hi maybe a silly question but can a v+ hd box be used as a media player for downloaded avi's etc in any way.

Nope, you cannot play back your own media.

I am sure the box could be capable of it, there are USB and ethernet connectors on it together with a hard drive but sadly it is locked which is a shame. It could be a good selling point.

You can still use it for recording the FTA channels if you've gone N3.

You could also use the hard drive in your PC.

lol well i would except i just bot this one and had to get subs as we went n3 last week n kids doin my head in about boomerang lol, just wanted to know if it would be able to act as a media player also
