I'm having a problem installing a patch using STB Daemon 3.04
I can "see" my PC file system via System Settings -> IP Settings -> Firmware Update but when I select [OK] after having selected the patch to install...there is a quick flash of the install screen and then it returns to the IP Settings screen.
Can anybody suggest what I'm doing wrong ?
Thanks

I've never done this before,I assume you use a serial link.Has this worked in the past or is this the first time you've tried? The patch should be de-compressed.Does the patch update work when using usb?Cheers

You transfer the file to the usb using stb daemon, works off the lan.
Then install from usb.
I just load straight to usb.
Or why not just use tm online in menu.
Just noticed TM model, maybe no updates on line I can't check.

Ah so it needs to copy onto a USB attached to the TM before it can do the patch..I thought it just ran directly from the PC from which I was connecting across the LAN. Isn't the point of STB Daemon the ability to run directly from a network drive .....there was a brief flash of an update screen ?

Unfortunately my USB is "stuffed".....3rd PS failure so I was trying to circumvent using a USB by connecting onto my LAN....Since the TM could see the patch I thought it could run the installation
