Using netboot reset trick help please

Hi, Im trying to do a 3100i using cashmeres tut but i cant get past the reset trick on the modem with netboot, he mentions the 123 trick in the tut but I just dont seem to be able to get it.
Is there another way? the setup is right as ive checked everything 10 times now
any help greatfully recieved

Is it 192.168.100.1 direct to modem? if so this is not working

if u cant connect to the modem then ther's a problem with the network card config either on the modem or pc if nic is set to 192.168.100.10 and gateway is 192.168.100.1 but still cant connect the most likely is the cable or the network(rj45) plug on the modem

got into it and think ive flashed the firmware, its showing:

Software Version: SB3100-3.2.17-SCM00-NOSH1.0
Hardware Version: 2
MIB Version: II
GUI Version: 1.0
VxWorks Version: 5.3

but i dont know what is was befor!, is this right? has it taken it ok?
Also if it has, do i just input a mac addy from a trade or what?

yes m8 thats hackware so change mac and set freq if needed

you can also load any mac and force to 10meg
