A few weeks back Asda were selling a incar Power Inverter (one that you can plug a 3 pin plug into) for £5, maybee still available?

I have tried both a 12v universal laptop charger after using a 240v inverter.

The inverter got really hot and used way more juice and cheap ones are not regulated so can cause spikes and surges. I paid £40 for mine and would still recommend the 12v option.
