Post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out later on the bodies of two children found dead in a car.

The boys, aged two and six, were found in an isolated car park near Lennoxtown, about 10 miles north of Glasgow, at 1630 BST on Saturday.

so sad when i hear that kids are involved...how could people do this to innocent little children..what a sad world we live in with sick people.....makes me mad when i hear these kind of things....

What with child abuse, child killings and child suicide I am suprised we have any kids left !!

Again, very sad

Its really sad to see such ignorant people in this world.

No doubt it'll be another depressed father who wanted to leave this world and take his kids with him :(

Two boys in car 'died violently'

Two young boys found dead in a car are believed to have suffered violent deaths, reports from the scene suggest.

However, police would only say the deaths were "suspicious".

The boys, aged two and six, were found in an isolated car park at a beauty spot near Lennoxtown, about 10 miles from Glasgow, at 1630 BST on Saturday.

A man, believed to be the father of the boys, was found at the scene suffering from severe burns and was taken to hospital in Glasgow.

He is understood to be in a critical condition.

Police said they had "a positive line of inquiry".

They have not yet confirmed whether the man was related to the children, who are believed to be brothers.

The discovery was made on Crow Road in the East Dunbartonshire town.

The vehicle was moved from the car park at about 2300 BST by a recovery lorry under police escort.

Police dog teams have been examining the scene.

The car park is close to the Campsie Fells, a popular spot with families and hillwalkers.

Last night I was bored so i took the wife and kids a wee run in the car, one of our favourite routes is up through Kilsyth around the Campsies then exiting via the Crow Road and finally out through Lennoxtown, we'll usually stop at the car park and take in the views - Thank God I didn't go that route.
