Should be grateful they don't follow other countries for instance in Turkey they stick 2% on your electricity bill and also a charge on appliances.
Portugal and Serbia also add a fee on to the electricity bills.
In Germany it's around £180, Austria the TV tax is around £200-£300 and you pay for the radio still £50-£70

I think they should be like quite a few countries where there is no licence at all.

They have left it too long to slip it into general taxation. The TV tax is open to too much scrutiny.
