I have a force fixed multi sat dish but its capabilities are limited by a 4way disec switch. I have a spare feed at the mo and thought about using it to get turksat but its one or the other 42e or 7e.....

first of all can anyone confirm both sats receivable with 90cm dish in uk...?

secondly if both available to me...looking for the best mix of sport and documentaries-discovery ?

Can anyone confirm the sports shown on Lig Tv/NTv avail on both and Fox Europe/ME on 7e and Supersport 42e...

also is the latest firmware patch on a TM1500CI relevant as to availability of any above channels....?

any comments greatly appreciated......

I think a 60cm dish is big enough to get turksat 42e

eutelsatw3 is at 7e and i got this one no problems with my 1m dish i think 85cm is okay with it though

im not sure about the rest of your question, have to wait till somone clever tells you

cheers for that m8........is fox sports europe and fox sports mid east worth watching or are you not able to clear them ?

lig tv and is scrambled on both sats, but i have not updated my patch this month so if this is different once updating ill change

ntv is scrambled on 7E but clear on 42E called ntv INT (dont know if its the same channel though)

supersport if showing as clear on 42E but for some reason im getting no signal on this channel, again ill look into this and let you know

Thanks Dig.....I read about a week ago that SS was broadcasting on 12680h 8888 3/4 as well as 11977 (king of sat-not sure if this site is approved of here ?) Anyway it confirms 11977 is no longer broadcasting as of today...

All I'm trying to do is weigh up as to most relevant channels to me in clear /with most channels available using a possible sub(but would prefer not to).Only sports I'm interested in are football which i have pretty much covered already really and cricket which I still have to sub down the monopoly route for-thats why im keen for info on Fox Eur and ME which I believe has had cricket in past but not sure.....I know Ten is avail on Hb but a seperate sub req and then only guaranteed series involving Pakistan / Sri Lanka .Series involving India seem to be on different broadcasters each series so no trend to make it worthwhile as theyre all seperate subscriptions.
I think the issue with discovery is its not on 42 but is on 7 and then I'd only be interested if available with latest software.....

One other thinkDig for info-do you know if an official digiturk sub clears 42e and 7e? or do you need to careful as to which one you purchase..?

cheers

heres the subs info for digiturk from digicams

£299
In order to receive Digiturk Euro you will need:

1. A 1.2m (minimum) satellite dish pointing to Eutelsat W3 7East.
2. A Digiturk Receiver or a Cryptowork embeded receiver or a digital
receiver with a C.I slot and a Cryptowork module.
3. A subscription to Digiturk Euro as below.

supersport in the clear on the new frequency you stated above on 42'E

a thought that has just popped into my head, your dish may not be able to see 42'E due to it being so low behind the roof, i have fitted turksat dishes in the past where a roof on the other side of the road has stopped the signal due to it being much lower in the sky than other satellites :(

Cheers dig - dish size rules out 7deg e then and "need to see the specialist" with regard to 42e being a goer or not :(

I suspect my advisor may already be on the case though ;) :)

one other thing i meant to ask Dig...what was supersport showing...?

if its tractor pulling or arm wrestling I may give it a miss anyway:) .....I notice its never listed on any site with football and suppose this is a totally different
version to the greek one on nova...?

Sorry if i offended any tractor pullers out there

hi bert,

on turksat 42e at the present moment, you you can get the premiership and italian football fta on tv8 and also there is a french football match on kanal a every saturday and every tuesday and wednesday you will get champions league football on star tv and rustavi 2 free to watch and supersport is mainly during the day a music channel and at night they show old fooball matches
