Hi, Wanting to swap a tuner, which part of the box is this?

Is it the card with the antenna input on. if so is it the whole card and the grey box that needs taking out. If it is, is this solder onto the main board or is it just a case of pulling the old card.

Yes its the long metal box which has the antenna input on. its the whole card that needs replacing usually. its soldered onto the main board, so you'll need to remove EVERYTHING from the case.

This is very tiricky i did this at my work and had to get help from colleagues with specialist equipment to help (a mini wave) replaced with a known good tuner and still did not get rid of the chirping sound altohugh it is not as frequent now. Be carefull not to damage anything in the process I damaged a track on the main board and had to get that repaired to.

its relatively easy to change if youve got some soldering experience but if not get someone who does with the right equiptment its pretty easy to do
