has anyone got the start up and shut down down screens as i change mine and now need to take the tomtom back as its gone faulty.

too late to help i guess but next unit you get make a full back up with windows to ensure you can recover from situations like this

do a hard reset first m8, that is remove the sd card, press the reset button for between 15 30 secs, then press and hold the on button for the same 15 30 secs the release tt will restartswitch off insert sd card and start normally. if no good go to the tt site and get their clear flash tool which will clean the flash memory, all should be ok now:banana:
