HIa all....i have a ntl:200 on 3mb....for which i pay ntl every month....ive been waiting patiently over the last few days to get my 10mb but still config page says

ive restarted my cable modem numeroues times but still the same

ive rung up ntl and they keep telling me to go to

http://www.ntlworld.com/upgrade <http://www.ntlworld.com/upgrade>

and go thru the upgrade steps but that website i have been trying for the last 3 days and it's been down

ive spoken to two people this morning over the phone and both said that is the only way to get upgraded to 10mb.....and that the website is temporarily down at the moment

im getting kinda Piss*d off ....can anyone tell me or advise me wat to do in order to the 10mb coz i thort that existing 3mb customers were meant to be the first ones to move over to 10mb.....

cheers
maddy
im in the manchester area

Try calling sales, rather than customer services, sales seem more helpful when you want an upgrade :)

as a last resort i thort i would ring broadband technical support 0800 052 2000 option 3.....i spoke to a very helpful yung lady.....she said that it was already on 10mb....but after a few attempts at restarting modem etc tec...she said that she would knock the modem off at their end and then put it back on again.....
she did that and hey presto

When i first got my ntl after a week i upgraded and i asked how long it would take. The guy said 15 mins.
They send the config file to you and you just reboot the modem.
He showed me how to do a speed test while i was on the phone.

Ring up and say you want to know how to you cancel your subscribtion.
Cos your gonna get bulldog 8meg for 9.99.
They will probably say you have to write a letter and then ask if you want to be upgraded now.
Also haven't tried this yet but i used to wait ages to get through.
i read this in the paper the other day.
Don't press any buttons. They will think you haven;t got a touch tone phone and go straight through.
press 0,0#,#0,0 or 0 repeatedly
let us know if it works.
Or get yourself a surfboard???
