Spurs have drawn holders Sevilla in the Uefa Cup quarter-finals.
Sevilla, who thrashed Middlesbrough in last season's final, will provide a tough test for Martin Jol's side, with the first leg in Spain on 5 April.

If Spurs go through, they will play Bayer Leverkusen or Osasuna, who knocked out Rangers in the last 16, in the semi-final.

Newcastle's conquerors AZ Alkmaar play Werder Bremen, while Espanyol face Portuguese giants Benfica.

Spurs' clash pairs two of the favourites for the competition, with Sevilla pulling off a remarkable escape to go through against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Goalkeeper Andres Palop headed an injury-time equaliser as his side were within seconds of going out of the competition.

It made the score 2-2 on the night, with Sevilla securing a 3-2 win in extra time.

Sevilla are challenging for the title in La Liga, and have former Spurs striker Fredi Kanoute in their ranks.

Quarter-final draw
AZ Alkmaar v Werder Bremen
Bayer Leverkusen v Osasuna
Sevilla v TOTTENHAM
Espanyol v Benfica
(Ties to be played on 5 and 12 April)

Semi-final draw
Espanyol or Benfica v AZ Alkmaar or Werder Bremen
Bayer Leverkusen or Osasuna v Sevilla or TOTTENHAM
(Ties to be played 26 April and 3 May)
