Thanks for reply HH I've decided now I'm gonna try and install a newer version of Tomtom on it now and do away with everything else on it as I've never used it for anything else managed to get another version of TT on it before but it's in french. Can you point me to any step by step guides. Thanks

I've never done it myself but seemingly if you connect to TT Home (please verify this elsewhere before you try it in case you knacker your unit) you can update your Tom Tom navcore to the latest then find a compatible map that meets your needs.
As to a step by step guide I'm sure all the info you need is in here (stickies maybe?) or else use Google.

Still getting no joy found some info about installing a cab. file but couldn't get it to work. I changed the layout of the original Navigo a few years ago but all the links to get it back as it was have gone now. Can't work out when you get a map do you run it through the easykeygen 1st or put it on tomtom then run easykeygen if I had a more detaied tutorial I recon I could get my head round it. When I 1st hacked mine I had a screen were I could select 6 different sat navs now I can't even do 1. I'd like to get it to the point were I power the unit on and it boot's directly into TT but can't find any info on how do it? Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't Win 7 have XP Compatibility mode? Or can you run it on an older machine?
Still don't have a tutorial............... Pretty sure with FastActivate you put the maps & TT on your memory card, connect it to your pc & run FastActivate, this activates any maps on the card for your device.
Muppet Keygen (I think) you try & run the un-activated map on your sat-nav, this creates a voucher or something like that then run the Muppet Keygen to activate the map but years since I did it so don't quote me.

After years of reliable use, my Navigo played up. I found the SD card had corrupted.
Now where was the back-up I made of the SD card .. nowhere to be found. No problem I thought, I was a paid up member of pctailor ... I'll just download it all again ... arrrggg they've gone
don't suppose anyone has a link to a version of the muppet proof keygen do they .. all the links on these forums seem to be dated from 2008/09, or point to PCTailor and they all seem to be long dead ..
I've rescued all of the maps, I was using ttn7.915.9196.qvga_black .. just need the base tomtom and the muppet proof or easy activator now ...
Any guidance guys ?

I just Googled 'Tomtom FastActivate' & was able to download it from one of the links, that should work for you.

I don't have one any more mate & maps/stuff seem to be harder to come by now. Pretty sure you can still get them just have to look a wee bit harder. Usual process for them is to backup your card. Then check your card's been backed up. Then backup your backup ;-)
Connect to TT Home & update navcore (seemingly you might have to do a few updates) then once the navcore's updated you get the compatible maps for that navcore version. Then run something like TomTom Fast Activate to hack the maps.
TT 7.450 seems pretty old though, when I sold mine in April it had Tom Tom version 7.910 & map Western_Europe_1GB_v830.2306 and it hadn't been updated for a while.
Give us a shout if you need any assistance with it I can normally muddle my way thru it.

Hi, I have 2 Units a Navigo SY885 and a Cheapie Chinese unit, I managed to get Tomtom 6 running on both, and very useable, just wondered if there are still downloads about and/or instructions on how to put TTN7 on either? any help would be gratefully received.
