TomTom v7 on Navigo II

okay, I downloaded the UK map and tested it on tomtom. I was able to switch to the UK map without problems as well as browsing but obviously being across the pond I cannot ask for directions.

Yes it works great. That link was nice and slimline (just UK and Ireland). The full Europe maps are nearly 2GB which is just wasted SD space ;-)
I put the speedcams in from the 07-04-10 which are nearly 2 months old but will have to do coz I cant find newer ones.

Now for the next question .... How the hell do itineraries work ? <-- OK I think I fixed this ... have to choose SHORTEST ROUTE not FASTEST ROUTE !
I planned a route last night using the iteinery function. I put 1x final destination and then put 2 way points (yellow arrows pointing down) to force the route along the way I wanted it to go, but although it put yellow flags in the right place to mark the way points it wouldn't actually route via them. Is this functionality broken or have I got it wrong that way points are places that you want to go through (but not actually stop at) ?
I just want it to route via 2 places on the way to a final destination

I should also add that I tried copying the .cfg file (cant remember the actual name of it as I am at work at the moment) from my old maps file to the new one but TomTom failed to start up so I guess there must be a difference in the data format used. Means I have lost all my Favourites but HeyHo would rather have newer maps

I have created a new .itn file which I will upload to my Navigo tonight. Hopefully it will actually route through the waypoints I have selected this time

Haven't used itineraries so don't know. It seems you have got it sorted but in any case you can download the user manual free from tomtom website.

Actually I don't know what that bobalom of using the Shortest Route is all about coz it didn't work. I used the fastest route (like I did before) but this time it worked so I put my previous failure down to not using more accurate waypoints. I used the software mentioned above (TYRE) and they are accurate and the route is as I want it to be now

PS. Have you got any hacks for making the weather better ? Off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow for 1 week and its gonna rain for most of it ! ;-)

No hacks, just my dodgy dancing can make it rain.

step 1)

I have downloded 2 files to my sd card a)mobilenavigator and b)United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_830_2307

I have also inmy computer have a folder called ttkg, which i prsume is the muppet keygen
My questio is: should I also download thos file to my sc card or should I exceute tomtom3.exe from my computer.
Either way it never gets exceuted and it "does not respond" and have to go to take manager to end it.

Plz help

keygen works using sd card. I cant remember the folder names as I am not using my laptop and my files on there somewhere. anyways look here

If you have tomtom running then it will work
Go into the gps menu and select other nmea and select gps com
baud rate 38400
if that com does not work try each in turn.

Put the mobile navigator and latest tom tom maps on my sd card. Tried running the tomtom3.exe but it says I do not have permissions or that cannot connect to usb

does it say that on the nav device or are you trying to run it on the PC? you need to drop it into your nav device, make sure its not a shortcut. do a copy and paste rather than drag and drop. disconnect and try run it on the nav device.

I just bought a F&H MV43, I think the files for turbo dog will be the same. I can upload them if you want ?

I run the tomtom3 exe after copying the navigator and map files across to the SD card on my pc. It comes up with message saying cannot connect to usb.

I tried taking the card out and then putting it back in to the pc - same message

then tried taking card out and running it in sat nav. Came up with message saying incorrect activation code for map. took card out and put it back in pc. ran tomtom3.exe. This time it worked but while running crashed. It did say that it had successfully created the maps but when I put the card into my sat nav it couldn't get past the greyed out car symbol.

Put the card back into the pc and looked on it and there was only one file left on there and it couldn't be read or deleted. Had to reformat the card.

All of the above has happened three times and I am about to give up!

You want the files off my card ?
You then just run TT (on satnav) to get the bif and you then use fast activate crack maps (from PC)
