Thought I would create a new thread since the occasional post still being made on the original one. Quick and dirty explanation. Should be easy to do.

Stuff already discussed here and there on dw but I guess some people fail to find the search feature lol.

Latest version that I know of is v7.910. Can be found here. Password protected file, I give you a clue, a name of a wonderful site which you are reading to install tomtom without wanting to pay for it ;)

The keygen can be found here also. The password is kingston, thats kingston spelt k-i-n-g-s-t-o-n. Instructions on how to run the keygen if you get into difficulty can be found locally here.

Maps you can find yourself but here is a starting point.

EDIT 26th MAY 2010: Okay, did some hard work for you. I have found a link which I verified it works (by loading maps without error within tomtom) and reading the tomtom website, the latest version as of 26th May 2010 is 8.45.xxx.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
You will need a meta entry for this. So update meta.txt and add the following entry found here before cracking maps.

EDIT END:

Okay, here is the quick and dirty explanation of how it worked for me

Copy mobilenavigator and map folder to sd card and ensure sd card is still connected to your pc/lappy
Run muppet keygen (note, I did not bother with v8 keygen)
Select make map - this should your map and device id
Click on icon - this should generate dct file on sd card
Now carefully with 2 fingers take out your sd card then try running tomtom

Click on image below for an alternative to tomtom. Polnav is pretty good so far.

I think as per previous post - ok, in your maps folder look for 2 files. The first ending in .meta and second ending in .pna. Did u copy both into the dct folder where the crack is?

Next, the .meta file. What is the filename, there should be a number on it,

Open up meta.txt and check to see if it exists in there.

muppet keygen is provided in the link in the original post. make sure your antivirus is not removing it. mine reported it as one but most cracks are.

Here goes. A pictorial version on how to run the keygen. I spent the last 15-20mins making this so hopefully this helps you now. I added the DW logo so you know where it came from if it appears outside of this site lol. Example given uses american maps since this is what I am using. You will need to check your UK maps.

glad to hear it going. locking onto satellites shouldnt take too long. usually does on start up but then I tend to put it on standby so much quicker then.

here is the US, it locks so much quicker than it did in the UK, not sure why but eh, who cares.

Hi,

Just checking before I cause a problem. The link to the Muppet proof keygen works fine, but my antivirus software detects a trojan in it. Can anyone confirm if it still works OK, or if there is a problem there?

Many thanks !

Mine does too but this muppet keygen I got via a link from a post here in DW ages ago. I have used it and not had a problem as yet but the choice is entirely down to you whether you wish to use it or not.

So in your instructions you say you are running v7.910. Is that the very latest that can be run on the Navigo (I have version 1 and I think that is what it is currently running but I want to update it as much as possible before this weekend) ?

For the maps you say to search for V820. Is that also the very latest that can be installed and do these maps work with the v7.910 core ?
(Just been searching and found v8.45.2647 mentioned but no links yet).

For the speed cams I assume that the 07-04-10 ones in this forum are the latest ?
(Just been searching and found 26th May (Today!) mentioned but no links yet).

I updated mine about a year ago so its time for a refresh :)

Cheers.

I believe so. I could not find the exact version on the tomtom website but afaik v7 is the latest navigator version. Navigo is treated as a pocket pc.

but I want to update it as much as possible before this weekend) ?
You off to see your mistress again in a new location?

I have working on mine North_America_830. I had a look and think 845 will work but ensure you have the meta file in order to crack it.

Link to 8.45 map added to initial post. This is the latest I could find. Let us know how you get on. I cannot verify it works due to my current location.

Speedcams updated on a regular basis. I don't have the latest but will do a quick check for you.
