tm 600

I HAVE tried to connect an external hard drive and also a usb pen drive to my box but neither has worked. What do I need to get my 600 recording to the hard drive. Also is it possible to get it recording to a hard drive on a networked pc. I have already got it streaming to that pc.

Did you format them with the tm600 after connecting them, the tm uses linux formatting drives connected to it.

Yes i did and they didnt format correctly. I also tried formatting them first on a pc to ext2 but they didnt work then either.

When i plug in the usb pen drive, i get an error saying usb is not working when i try to format it.
Software version on the box is rel 2.1.1 date: 15/07/10

I had an external drive that just would not format, I used a 4gb usb stick formatted in fat 32 first then plugged in the tm, selected, formatted and it worked fine, I've also used a sata drive internally (using adaptors etc) with success, (it got too hot though) I'm on 09/05/10 UR release
