I received this box yesterday, how do i know if the box is patched? I have picked up about 400 channels on hotbird and most of them have a $ sign next to them. how can i resolve this.

try the spice platinum channel (adult content) if this clears then the patch is workinh, the patch doesnt clear every channel. if it says scrambled channel then either the patch is turned off or the box is not patched. to check if the patch is turned off press menu then select system info, whilst on this screen press the num,bers 2 0 0 4 on the remote and exit back to the picture, if its now showing you an adult nature programme you have activated the patch, if its still a blank screen then you need to patch the box, for the files for this see the technomate section in the extratv section
