Technomate Question

Hi

I am a newbie to this technology and wanted to ask a question...

I currently live in an apartment block which I presume has a satelite dish on the roof shred amongst everyone in the flats. I also a TV socket in the living which says sat on it.

I know a previous tenant had SKY installed in our apartment. But am I able to simply buy a Technomate box eg TM-500 and 'plug' it in for the service to work or do I need a sky subscription or anything like that?

If you buy a linux box ie tm500 then if you simply plug it into your socket you will get the free to view channels. You can then either get a freesat card or go for the full sky sub. You will need a sky box anyway initally for them to pair the card to, after this you could then put it into a tm. You could also look to go do the lines of cs but its not discussed on this forum.
