Technomate 600 remote control problem

Hi all,
I'm new to the these linux receivers. I have a technomate 600, with UR image. Problem i have is when changing channels with my remote. I dont get enough time on screen to put all 3 digits of a channel number in. i.e if i want to change to 301, the receiver will quickly change to either 3 or 30. I have searched all menus but cant seem to find where i can change the time, So that i have more time to input channel number.

menu>setup>expert setup>remote control then change next char timeout
