Popped into Technomate this afternoon (E17) and was told that if anyone has this model that they can purchase an 'Add On' carder reader from them for £35.
This 'Add On' is only available to models that have BH in their serial number ie TM 1000D BH ........ , also that you need to screw the adaptor in yourself.

me and Digidude were discussing these earlier this week, they are a good thing to add if you only have a 1000D and for those that can get stuff cheaper it makes a good cheap receiver that does everything you need including Art and DigitAlb cards etc. Digidude did you get any? The only thing i'm not sure about is what firmware would it then need?

you can add the card reader to any of the 1000 range...d, ci, 2ci, etc (except the 1500 of course!)

it's a terrific thing instead of buying a new receiver!

Heres all the info on the new card readers:

Shows in the on screen menu as embedded Conax, but also reads Irdeto, Viaccess, and most other official viewing cards.

Fitting of this unit requires you to remove the case of your receiver (5 screws), place the unit into the receiver (using the 2 screws supplied), plug the supplied lead into the main board inside the receiver and replace the outer case. Can be fitted in less than 5 minutes
