what do u think the best satellite resever is between them solo 2 or the tecnomate twin oe any sugestions regards simon

why do u say the solo 2

Because your dealing with the very latest Broadcom based chipset with a 1300mhz dual core processor, The TM-Twin uses the Broadcom chipset form the Vu Duo which is now well over 4 years old and for the £50-£70 price difference between them the Solo2 is a no brainer

Clipper will tell you the solo2 is an even greater receiver.

It is about investment and value for money.

you cant apart from video and audio, compare
receivers from different manufactures, they are
totally different builds in different factories.parts etc.
iv'e had both these receivers and if you just want to use
the boxes to view satellite tv then both give a first class
picture and sound they both change chns fast, drive the dish
and work the same way ie: menu's and general set up etc:, plus
both give more or less the same signal quality even on 7w,4.8e
26e the tm twin give more percentage, but once again both boxes
have different thresholds and if the vu opens a chn with say 39%
signal the tm could show say 47% on the same channel but who cares
as long as the channel opens with a good clear picture. plus most HD
satellite boxes both linux and non linux give good quality video and audio
results with a good tv set, and everyone will have a different view on whats the
best. the amount of clone users for me says a lot of sat boxes are out there budgets plus i read lots of post saying they are great receivers, and probably as many saying no way, so it's down to personnel choice and your budget for what you want from the box

can you please add a bit more Information about tuner threshold levels
you are saying Vu Solo 2 Is at 39 % but on which FEC and at which value picture starts to break
the same with TM
then we know which receiver got better tuner
