tb or not tb

I have taken my faulty 4001 STB apart to disable tb. I can't see anything to scrapr off! So I have scrapped off the green coating anyway. Is that good enough to disable tb.

Simply scraping the green coating of is not going to achieve anything. The coating is there simply to protect the copper tracks and to provide a non conducting layer for when the board is flow soldered.

Just make sure cut it right down , so you see a white board, where the track was m8....

Is it the bottom right leg of the chip that I am cutting or a connection across to the next section as it appears to me from the picture.

Sorry very new to all this eletrical stuff. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like after the cut?

Seems a bit difficult is there a special tool or will a screw driver do!

I cut the leg off but I am still struggling with getting my BK, need P&P from TMC, and sort out tune problem.

It will all have to wait until Xmas hols now unless I can find someone in the Reading area to sorti it out for me.
