Streaming xvid to dbox2 buffering problems

Guys,

I'm having problems streaming xvid movies to the dbox2 movie player where the video will play for the first 4 minutes or so then start stuttering. Tryed resynching the buffer but no joy. Im using vlc 8.1. The video plays fine on the PC and I have no problems streaming divx video to the box.

Any ideas anyone?

The problem could be that the source is 29.97 fps NTSC. That usually goes badly wrong. You may also be using a higher transcoding resolution than your PC can handle in real-time, as it's doing all the hard work converting the files to MPEG for the box to play. If it's not already there, try lowering the movie player settings to 352 x 288. It could also be a simple codec issue. Try installing the latest XVID codec.
