Mobile Phones Strange international calls

Woke up this morning and apart from the 15 missed calls from the wife wondering where the hell i was, i noticed i had 3 missed calls from 3 different countries. 1 had dialing code from romania, one fron thailand and one from turkey! anyone all within half an hour of each other. I know not one person from any of these countries and wonder if anyone has a clue wether i have been called from these countries or if it is some kind of error. Starting to wonder if my phone number has been used in some dodgy foreign film!!

Unfortunately, more and more of those dodgy cold-callers are starting to route their calls via the internet so they can literally appear to be anywhere in the world. I've had phonecalls from double-glazing and loft insulation firms where the call originates from France, Germany, Latvia and even New Zealand.

I'd guess this is their way of trying to dodge the Ofcom/TPS rules.
