Starview 7 adaptor

A mate has lost his db9 to rj45 connector for box and they are like rocking horse cack - i got a cisco console lead but dont work - ive seen the ones you wire yourself but people have tried these - the prob is that there is a pcb board inside and a few have suggested this stores the activation of the box in but not sure about that - after all its just ethernet signal and the right config of pins should work? anyone got a knackered box and dont need their adaptor i would be most grateful.

i have a contact for cable from box to dongle and the dongle,however please note plenty of boxes are having a connection problem nowroud:

do you mean with the use of this dongle or what

normally box comes with rs232 connecting cable and adaptor and if adaptor broke you had to but another unit.
cable can be bought on its own.
dongle/adaptor can be bought also on its own.

Cheers m8 ive emailed them - have you actually had 1 from them and how much are they as theres nothing i can see through their products.

no i dont have a cable box ,but talked on phone to him,correct not on view on site.

so best to phone then - but they do sell them and they are called starview 7 adaptor?

if you tell him its the one the rs232 cable connects to they should know as it comes in box and other end is the cat5/ethernet cable.
