I'v just been tinkering around with my Firefox browser and found a few good tips to get it running/loading faster, first off type about:config in the addy box, then look for the following entries>

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

then>

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 30

ok, now right click anywhere in the field and select>

New > Integer

and type this in nglayout.initialpaint.delay

then you will see it listed,. ....... right click again and set its value to 0 (zero)

shut Firefox down then re-open.

See how quick it loads up....:)

Also for us firefox lovers

Enter about:config in the address bar and press Enter
– Scroll down to nglayout.initialpaint.delay
– Double-click nglayout.initialpaint.delay
– Change the default value of 250 to 0
– network.http.max-connections = 64
– network.http.max-connections-per-server=21
– network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server=8

well i'll just leave it to you then Dutcho, just thought id post something i found, but it dont matter.

yes i tryed my way, it loads up sweet...even when im maxed out on bandwidth...which is cool i think, no more waiting for pages to load...lol

wohoooooooooooooooo cheers GARY and DUTCHO.speeding now guys : party :

i have been useing them tweeks for about a year now. and the good thing is that when you update firefox to a newer version the tweeks remain and you don't have to re-enter them again but it deffo speeds it up

nice 1 gary and dutcho

seems to have speeded up, in real english do u know what it is/was i have changed :)

been thinking of changing to firefox, obviously u guys are all using it, is there any downsides to changing over?

Works fine for 99% of pages - only one I've found that won't work properly is egg.com but there are bound to be a few more somewhere. Firefox is a lot faster than IE(even faster if you follow Gary's and Dutcho's advice!) ;) ,doesn't crash like IE does and is more secure then IE.
