Sound all weird on netbook ??

Hi

For some reason all sound playback is stuttering/echoing as if under water..lol

Tried reinsatlling vlc, roll back driver and d/loaded audio realtek drivers for the netbook but it makes no difference....

any ideas peeps, even tried defragging hdd....

Did it ever work ?

If its under warranty then might be worth taking to the shop / technical support.

If it happens only in VLC try: WindowsFAQ-1.1.x - VideoLAN Wiki

If that doesn't work, or it's happening in all programs, please state your OS.

In the mean time, a couple of suggestions skimmed from the 'net (in no particular order):

• Check mic is muted.
• Locate the sound device in Device Manager and uninstall. Restarting windows should cause the soundcard to be reinstalled (assuming a flavour of Windows).
• Check DirectX is up-to-date (again assuming Windows is the OS).

Can you clarify its all sound and not just VLC
