Evening fellas 1stly let me apologize as I'm sure this has been gone over/asked a million times so please don't shoot me down in flames I'm new.
I have/had a working openbox v9 but from what I'm reading on here due to a certain company getting wise and doing something technical with the signal it is the reason my box doesn't work lie it used too

So I'm in the market for a replacement as id like to watch the footy get free ppv sport (boxing) and something for my young lad to watch when he visits (kids channels) I have a decentish internet connection no satellite dish as far as I know (I live in appartments so its either a communal dish or BT)

what would you guys recommend?? I'm not big up on all this programming stuff id like something I can get out a box plug in/tune and go

I'd suggest you go the route many people have done already mate.
(IPTV)

Providing your internet connection is good you should not have many problems. Providing your supplier has not got greedy.
As you say "no programming stuff" the mag box would probably be best.
Just make sure you get official mag box!!!
(Not clones)
Or if you have smartTV that's also an option without needing to buy another box.
